As an online educator, you make a thousand decisions each day regarding what to post to your courses and how best to package and present that material. Congratulations! That makes you a content strategist! Content strategy is about building practical, useful, efficient resources that will live on the Web. It’s a set of principles and techniques that “web people”—historically, consultants, marketing and communications people--use to ensure that their websites provide the type of information that their users are looking for, and in the places that user is going to go to look for them. But you, a designer of online learning, can benefit from knowing a bit about content strategy, too. Come to this 60-minute talk, which introduces you to the field and offers you 4 practical ways you can use content strategy to your advantage as part of your online teaching practice.
